Currently

I hope that you had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend! Aaron and I booked our wedding DJ, saw Star Trek Into Darkness with friends, enjoyed fresh grilled kabobs at home and traveled to Greensboro to celebrate with the class of 2013! Since I didn't really have a post scheduled for today, I decided to type up a "Currently" style post since I haven't done one in awhile!

Watching: Mad Men! The Crash has been one of the best episodes this season. Watching the two ad agencies go through a merger, seeing sad (always so sad) Don Draper go through trippy life realizations and Sally Draper getting her sassy face on has been good, but I still wish there was more Joan!

Listening To: "Thinking of You" by Ke$ha from her new album Warrior. Yep. Favorite album of the summer so far. I can't help it. Her music makes me feel so good! We have been watching her show, My Crazy, Beautiful Life on MTV and it makes me love her even more. My amazing fiance bought me concert tickets to see her show here in Downtown Raleigh as a WAY early birthday present. I can't wait!

Reading: I have just started reading Chesapeake Blue by Nora Roberts. It is the 4th title in the Chesapeake Bay Saga, a series about the Quinn family who live in St. Christopher, MD.

Making Me Happy: Thinking about our trip to Greensboro yesterday. We were lucky enough to be able to drive out to Gate City for the day to attend the graduation ceremony for the class of 2013. We reconnected with so many students, staff, and friends who we were close with when we worked there. After graduation we had lunch on campus and then went to enjoy a few drinks out on the patio  at Natty Green's overlooking Elm St. in downtown Greensboro. I can't wait to go back!

Looking Forward To: So many things! For this week I am looking forward to attending the Food Truck Shabbat at Temple Beth Or. This is an event organized by The Raleigh Tribe, which is the local organization for young Jewish professionals and graduate students in their 20s and 30s who are interested in meeting new people, exploring Raleigh and getting involved in the community. There will be a food truck dinner featuring Mama Dukes and Big City Sandwiches followed by evening Shabbat services. Word on the street is that Mama Duke's falafel tots are legendary.

What did you do to celebrate this weekend?

Currently I Am...

Reading: The second book in the Chesapeake Bay trilogy by Nora Roberts.

Watching: As many 2012 Oscar noms as I can! I will write a full post about this later after we get to see a few more movies.

Anticipating: Winter weather! We have our first snow forecast here in Raleigh and I'm hoping that we get some tonight.

Planning: Our wedding! Duh. I am working on it a tiny bit everyday. Currently our save-the-date magnet proofs are on their way and wedding shower theme brainstorming sessions are happening.

Working on: Keeping up with my 365 Frankie Diary project. I am so excited to have this journal for 2013. I keep it by my bed so I remember t

Wishing: That I was back on a catamaran in St. Lucia...

Currently I Am...

Aaron taking in culture at the NC Museum of Art*

Loving - Work! Crazy, right? I enjoy every aspect of my job from working with clients, to website coding, to design work, and My work atmosphere is really good and the women that I work with are so knowledgeable and talented! I truly look forward to going to work every morning, which is something that is rare in our society.

Reading - SEO: An Hour a Day written by Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Couzin. I have taken on a few new SEO clients at work, so I am studying and reading up so that I have the knowledge and skills to serve them best.

Watching - True Blood, season 5, episode 11. I wish there was a LaLa show. He is my favorite character by far and the most interesting, in my opinion. So far this season has been strong and compelling even though it has come so far from the first season.

Thinking about - Writing reviews on Yelp. I have written 33 so far. It's like blogging about you experiences at restaurants and businesses in your town, which I do anyway!

Anticipating - Driving to Maryland on Friday to spend the weekend with friends and family! I haven't been home since April, so I am looking forward to our visit, especially the crabfeast and pub crawl in Annapolis on Saturday! More photos and details to appear on the blog in the future, I'm sure.

Enjoying - Soy milk! I like to have milk in my breakfast cereal and for making sauces, but Aaron and I have a hard time getting through an entire half gallon before it goes bad. This week we decided to switch to soy milk. I'm not sure how well it will go down when I make sauce (it's vanilla flavored) but it is so yummy in my cereal!

Wishing for - Our apartment to clean itself! It's not a very big apartment, but we do seem to make messes here and there. After work playing with Skwisgaar always takes priority over cleaning. It would be nice to be able to charm the broom, trash, and laundry machine to run on their own just like the Weasley house. Nice dreams...

*Okay, I know this is a post about me and what I currently have going on, and the photo of Aaron doesn't really connect to the content, but 1) this is my blog, I do what I want   2) I am bad about taking photos of myself   3) I am always currently loving this guy   4) see #1.
