Whew! What a weekend! Friday night we were planning on going downtown for First Friday, but it was really cold and all of out friends who we usually meet-up with were staying in, so we made a trip to Fresh Market where I spotted this Ravens Cookie Cake, then came home to cuddle on the couch with Skiwsgaar and watch Lincoln (it was amazing!)
Saturday was our anniversary! We went to the Museum of Natural Sciences where we saw Walter Wally/Mr. Wobbles after his 6 more weeks of winter prediction before we made our way upstairs to the Titanic exhibit. I had seen this same exhibit before in Florida, but I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go again with Aaron. I have always been fascinated by Titanic and I won't even go into how much I love the movie!
After we left the Museum we drove over to The Depot and stopped into Tasty Beverage Co. to pick up beers for Sunday's festivities and Videri Chocolate Factory because they have tastings on Saturdays! The sippable chocolate tasted amazing! Side note - Aaron could not get out of there fast enough (he is NOT a fan of chocolate).
After our play date downtown, we retreated back to North Raleigh for a short nap and to get changed for our anniversary dinner at the Angus Barn! You can read my full review on the Angus Barn on Yelp.
Sunday morning Aaron slept in and I made a Dunkin' Donuts run (Brownie batter donut!) We spent most of the day doing chores, running errands and video chatting with the family. I made a pan of hot pink salsa and then we packed everything up and went to our friend Summer's (she lives in an apartment that is connected to an empty sorority house on the NC State campus) to watch the Superbowl! We had an appetizers and beer pot luck!
Sunday night enjoying some Natty Boh with friends watching the Ravens kill it! There was indoor corn hole, a mattress pile-on, SO MUCH delicious food, and a Beyonce dance breakdown. Go Baltimore!
